Name: Nathan Fredrick Nicknames: Nat, Ricky
Age: 27 Race: Human (embodied in a feline robot) Gender: Male Sexuality: Bi-sexual (not that it matters anymore)
Ability: Telepathy
Appearance:
Past Human Appearance --------- Now Feline Robot (Russian Blue)
Personality:
Nathan has always been incredibly creative, and insightful. He considers his ability to create mechanical things a gift, and rarely ever worked from someone else’s ideas because he always wanted to be purely original. But a lot of the time he gave into temptation to make even the little things better than they already were, such as the plastic bionics for missing limbs that he made better by making them much more reactive to the brains messages and making them lifelike. And, considering, he wasn’t too keen on letting only people with money have the opportunity to have his creations where as he made them affordable for everyone.
He has been known to be compassionate, and a bit playful in terms of being laid-back. However, whenever he’s working on something he doesn’t procrastinate because once he’s into something he does it as much as possible until it becomes a finished project or son to be finished one.
History:
Once a man called Nathan, and an inventor of sorts, he made a lot of the technology for the world they had once inhabited. Creating the super computers for the government, made robotic limbs that look lifelike for people who could afford it at certain hospitals, and he helped create the nuclear bombs that the world had.
He didn't know what he was making them for, just that he had been getting paid to do the work on these weapons in a secluded and deserted area living all alone. But as his contracts often stated he couldn't tell other parties who he was making weapons, or anything else, for and that was probably his biggest mistake. He made the nuclear bombs for just about every single country, and they all had at least three each, which in his case took years to make but could take a single one to destroy a country. They were too powerful, but he was asked to make them by people who had more power over his life and gave him no choice.
When he learned about the war that developed several years ago, he was desperately making calls to the people who ordered these biological weapons. The young man was threatened with his life for intruding, and was called a traitor when these countries found out he sold weapons to just about everyone. He'd been hunted down relentlessly in search of more powerful weapons, but he simply went into hiding in a place he had hidden from the whole world. And it only escalated the fighting unbeknownst to him, while the countries fought over the weapons he left in his deserted factory.
The war got worse, and worse, and he could hear about it through the streaming internet and news at the time. He became terribly overcome with guilt, and hoped that none of this was going to come back to haunt him. But it was too late when a month or so later the bombs were fired, killing millions of people and injuring or mutating people at the same time. He only knew because he had been working on another project that he had hoped to finish and give to the world, a robotic pet that could never die or get sick.
When the bombs had gone off it destroyed his home, the one he was thinking he so easily escaped the goverment from, and it ultimately killed him. But at least, that was what he thought. He may have woken back up after the blast, covered under rubble and a fire colored sky, but he saw the state of his body several feet from him and several yards away. He woke confused, and in a terrified state, completely lost all understanding of what had happened to himself and why he was still "alive".
Even as a scientist, engineer, and inventor, he doesn't understand how it happened. He was in the body of the robotic feline he had been working on at the time the bombs destroyed the majority of the world. His soul didn't pass on, instead it somehow transfered to the next sign of life in the proximity of his dead body. Overcome with fear, and a distinct loss of knowing who he was, he went running out of the destroyed place he once called home. The body was unfinished, but it's outer body was strong and stable enough to let him move and protect him from the destruction and mutations of the world.
He saw humans who weren't the same anymore in appearance, others that when they got angry changed into these bi-pedal creatures, and people who could shift at will or not on their own accord. It scared him. But at the same time he felt safe, and overwhelmed with the fact he was in a body that could never get sick or mutate like all the others had. However, he was overcome with grief that he had put such nuclear waste in those bombs that ultimately changed the world and the lives of so many people. He could never forgive himself, especially for what he was about to do.
Many people saw a cat, while others who were watching him careful enough could see the strange metallic sheen of his coat. He attempted to destroy himself by running into puddles, and even trying to drown the body in the lake, but a majority of it was waterproof except when he got it into specific parts. The "cat" had collapsed somewhere outside a hospital, it's sparking was evident that he wasn't a real animal, and a few doctors had carried him inside seeing him as an opportunity for new parts to keep whatever horrific things they were doing alive. Until they saw his real human name on the collar he had given this model before his human self died.
A few scientists, or doctors if one wants to be specific, recognized the name and attempted to fix him back into working condition instead of letting him "break" in hopes to find information. But they couldn't get anything from him, except for the fact that he was a very complicated piece of machinery that never got put out on the market. He woke up in the hospital but his vision was slightly disturbed because of the water damage he caused, however; it slowly went away with what the doctor had done to fix him back to normality. When he realized what had happened he attempted to destroy his body a few more times, but he was stopped enough for them to get him to realize his abilities such as being able to talk in this mechanical body.
When he learned these things he attempted to cooperate so that they would let him leave, even if he recognized a few of the people who worked there (he came to the same hospital when he had chemical burns and such). But he eventually escaped on his own out of pure determination, he believes, and has been trying to stay hidden in places he hopes other humans will never be able to stumble upon because he is more or less wanting to stay away from contact.
